*squee* Isn’t this the cutest theme? :D
It’s so different from what I was initially searching for – a very clean and simple white look, but stumbled upon this and I couldn’t resist. Adorable balloon doodles tend to do that to me.
Haven’t used something so cute in awhile, and the 5 year old in me is giddy from glee. Hehe.

A little while ago, I discovered that making notebooks tend to cheer me up if I am having a crappy day, or just in one of my Oscar The Grouch moods.
The part I love the most? Stitching. I love love love sewing the sheets of paper together, although I can’t entirely be sure why. Perhaps it is because I am incapable of sewing fabrics, and sewing paper is something that I am better at. Haha. It is also something about the tangible quality of thread going through paper that you don’t feel with cloth. Am I weird? oO Ah, but I’ve always liked weird, so.
Just thought I’d update with a recent photo I took of the Journal of Happy Thoughts.

Also, here’s a design that I hadn’t posted about before! Heehee, brollies look adorable.

I gave this one to Mel the other day. :) I’ve been giving out all the notebooks that were created during my trial and error period. They’re all in different sizes, with a varying number of pages because I was trying to figure out the ones that work best for me. Heh.

Anyway, if you haven’t already heard from my twitter account, it’s confirmed – Her Sweet Embrace and littlejamjar will be at Public Garden in May! :D
It’ll be both our first times at Public Garden, so we’re incredibly excited. Not quite sure what to expect, but excited all the same. It’ll be the first Public Garden event to be part of the Singapore Arts Fest, so it will last over 3 weekends in May, but we’ll only be there on the second weekend.
25 – 27 May, 5pm – MN, Esplanade Bridge. Mark these details down, and come soak up the happy crafty arty farty vibe! Oh, and come buy notebooks from me and pretty jewellery from Mel too, of course. ;)
More details on Public Garden on their site.

If you’ve stumbled upon this blog from my other site, you would have already seen these pictures of the notebooks I’ve been experimenting with over the past couple of months.
I haven’t had much time to spend on making my notebooks, only random pockets of time when my final semester at school allows, so there aren’t many yet.
Thought it’d be nice (and probably lovely in the future to look back on the time before I launch my store) to have them all on this blog too :)

The first couple of tiny notebooks I made! It was mostly to test out the printing of the covers; I didn’t have the covers that I wanted to make notebooks with.

Hee, I love ampersands. Such a gorgeous character.

Tried out a patterned cover, and I loved it :D

The one above, which I named Journal of Happy Thoughts, is the most recent one I made, and might be my favourite one so far :)
I want to make one that says Evil Plans heeheehee.
Can’t wait til I’ve more time to spend crafting! Also can’t wait til I’m a little less broke so that I can buy more stuff to experiment with, heh.
I think I’ve a couple more notebooks that I haven’t photographed yet, so maybe later next week! ;)

And thus, it begins. littlejamjar now has a blog.
I do have a slight addiction to create new accounts on various social media platforms, just because.
This one though, is something with a lil more purpose. It’ll be for all my updates on the littlejamjar front, which essentially means all random crafty adventures ;)
Rather than flood my other site, I thought it’d be nice to have a blog just for crafting and spotting nice designs perhaps.
The most exciting news of late? Melanie of hersweetembrace and I are thinking of getting our first ever booth at a craft fair at the next Public Garden! Squee! More updates on that to come soon!
All I want to do right now is ditch the school work and make notebooks so that I can finally launch my etsy shop :/
